Peanut allergy has been the subjective of recent research in the LEAP study (Learning Early about Peanut allergy) and the EAT (Enquiring Early about Tolerance) study and the results published the Lancet in March 2016, show interesting new findings on the current thinking about peanut allergy and pose further questions about how we treat food allergy in general. There is as yet no change in policy in the UK about when peanut should be introduced to infants/children in the general population and importantly to high-risk groups.

Professor Gideon Lack, Consultant in Paediatric Allergy, Kings College, London talking about the LEAP and EAT studies.
